One day Kenneth had occasion to go in there, and he saw a load of birch logs from the Northeast, wrapped in cellophane. They were taken in to Rockefeller's office for use in his fireplace. They were stunned when they heard Kenneth speak Thai. Most of the Thai people wanted to return to Thailand, but one young man insisted on returning to England to finish his education. He later became ambassador of Thailand to the US and minister of foreign affairs. Rostow, W. W. (Walt Whitman), 1916-2003 Description An account of the resource Kenneth goes to great lengths detailing his various reflections on the Country Team Seminar. Altogether, there were four five-week sessions and one instructors' course which was two weeks in length. There were 277 members to go through the program, varying in number from the State Department, Defense, USIA and AID, along with the majority coming from the CIA. Some of the important notes were on the interdepartmental work which the seminar required. Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
