Description
An account of the resource
The sequel was just as hilarious. Mae was ill, and people from church came to call with the visiting committee. There were three women. Mae was up and thanked the women for coming. But when they came in the door, they stopped cold and began sniffing. The place smelled like a brewery. The women all looked at each other. They knew Brad Landon's reputation for sobriety and his preaching against alcohol, and who would be drinking it but his wife? Mae realized what was going on and began to feel outraged but explained nothing.

Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
