He was to meet some Siamese officials and US Legation members. Kenneth urged his fellow Americans to be on time, but they would hurry because the Siamese, they said, had no sense of time and would not get to the meeting long after the announced time. Suddenly, the Siamese officials  showed up for the meeting before the time it was supposed to start. They had no sense of time, but they knew that the Americans would be on time, so they came early. It turned out that Kenneth was the only American to be on time and he received them while the others were finishing getting ready. Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
