As a consequence of this incident, Pramoj's brother is just a relentless enemy of Kenneth. He even wrote about Kenneth in his newspaper, running him down, saying that Kenneth spoke and understood Thai so badly that he could not communicate. Kenneth was in the country at the time, speaking to the Rotary Club that very week. He referred to the article, speaking in Thai, and said, "You'll all be delighted to know that I cannot speak Thai and that you cannot understand me." They just roared with laughter. He proceeded to deliver a twenty-minute speech in Thai "just for the hell of it." Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
