Kenneth on Reflections About the Country Team Seminar

Kenneth goes to great lengths detailing his various reflections on the Country Team Seminar. Altogether, there were four five-week sessions and one instructors' course which was two weeks in length. There were 277 members to go through the program, varying in number from the State Department, Defense, USIA and AID, along with the majority coming from the CIA. Some of the important notes were on the interdepartmental work which the seminar required. Kenneth discusses the progression of the various courses and the revisions which were made as the courses continued to broaden, so that they might be most effective in countering insurgency around the world.

Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
