Title
Kenneth on His Adventurous Flight to Pakse and Hanoi
Description
There was no regular transportation between Saigon and Hanoi except under the authority of the French Admiral or the British General Gracie. At the time, there was only one plane in Saigon, a C-47, with bucket seats down the aisles. One of our OSS men, the son of a U.S. Senator, was murdered at that airport by the Viet Minh, who thought he was French. When Kenneth was preparing for the trip to Southeast Asia, the Senator called on him at the State Department and asked him to try to find out more on what happened to his son. Which Kenneth did. It was a famous case at the time.
