Subject
Hồ, Chí Minh, 1890-1969
Description
Ho needed the help of the Americans to keep the French out of Indochina. Kenneth told Ho that he was the man who had drafted that policy, which really put him in tight with Ho. Many of the discussions Kenneth had with Ho were in the field of political philosophy. Kenneth had taught a course in political philosophy at Earlham, "and I thought I was pretty smart, and I knew something or other. But he knew far more than I would ever catch up with. This guy was really well read. He read the books."
