Kenneth on Being Asked by Pridi How KL Obtained His Plans, etc.

In 1945, when Kenneth arrived in Bangkok, he had only been there a few days when Pridi gave him an official dinner. At the dinner, Pridi said he had read Kenneth's book and commented that it was a very fair book. He wanted to know how Kenneth got hold of the documents about his economic plan? Kenneth said he couldn't reveal his sources, and said he felt he had used the documents well. Pridi agreed to that. Then Kenneth said there was one document that he wanted to acquire, and wondered if Pridi could help him. Pridi suggested that he obtain these documents using the same method he used in securing the previous ones.

Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
