Description
Kenneth describes "Kenneth P. Landon Day" which was held in Columbus, Georgia in his honor. It was at this time that he had a conversation with Carter for quite some time, as he was thinking of trying to become the President of the United States. The ceremonies included Kenneth on a television program along with a radio program. He gave a brief lecture, and he recalls stealing the show from Dean Rusk who was also to lecture on that night.

Provenance
Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
