Memorial Student Center

MSC.jpg

Completed in 1951 at a cost of $298,000, the Memorial Student Center was financed by the gifts of the alumni, students, and friends in memory of the 39 Wheaton students who died in World War II and to honor the more than 1,600 students who served in that war.  This projection, drawn by artist Dewitt Whistler Jayne, boasts four stories and two wings. The actual MSC, formerly housing the STUPE and Post Office, stands at two stories without the wings or the columned portico, and houses the Business and Economics and Politics and International Relations departments, along with the Urban Studies program. The MSC also houses offices for the Wheaton College Center for Faith, Politics and Economics. (B3707)
