Jonathan Blanchard’s influence as a reformer spread as he often traveled to give lectures. Jonathan’s trips away for fundraising and speaking often lasted for a third of each year. Jonathan’s contemporaries recognized his zeal and effectiveness as a public speaker. In 1843, he was chosen to attend the World’s Anti-Slavery Convention in London as the Ohio delegate.
